Petrica needs your good thought

Petrica is one of the Robi veterans. He is around 12 years old and was taken over by us when he was still a puppy and had an owner. His owner hit him in the head with an ax, wounded him, and the puppy was taken by the good-hearted Ioana N. (from the former TV show “Take me home”) to a vet clinic. As he couldn’t go back to his mean owner, the little one was taken in our care. Over the years he had a few epilectic crises but in recent years they stopped.

Petrica hasn’t been feeling well for a few days and, even if his lab tests results are negative to distemper, his symptoms are of a dog that’s ill in the nervous phase. Continue reading

Woof and his feet

WoofEven though Woof is making progress, we understood he will never be a normal dog. But that doesn’t mean he isn’t as merry and playful as any other puppy his age. What’s more, Woof is learning very quickly to adapt to his situation.

Woof is special and he needs a person as special as him, one that can understand him and that will take care of his health in the years to come.

What are the Americans saying about the pets with no owners from Romania?

“After 20 years of democracy, blaming the old communist regime might be considered suspect.

The problems of the dogs from Romania began in the communist era and continued after its end” notes huffingtonpost.com. According to the American journalists, now, every attempt to find a solution from those who support animal rights is weighed down by corruption, lack of transparency, indifference, ignorance, barbarity, lack of education and the poverty in Romania.

He was not forgotten on the street. Patrocle was wandering.

PatrocleToday we went to the centre for collection of recyclable materials and we found out that the little one, named by them Patrocle, is a dog they found about two weeks ago. After having found him, they took him to the vet and treated him, groomed him, given him a haircut etc. But Patrocle has the habit of wandering around so last night at closing time he was missing. By chance we found him. Today Patrocle was neutered and returned to the people at the centre. He needs though to be adopted by someone who has time to take care of him, so if you want to adopt the smart Patrocle, we’re waiting for a message at:
