The little one from the photos, named Strumf, was found by Maria, our volunteer, on a field. Although we don’t have any place available for him, Maria couldn’t let him there trembling and freezing to death. The little one is now to Spiru Haret, to be neutered. In two days he will be discharged and unfortunately we can’t offer him a warm place to stay. Surely he stayed in a house before, he is used to go in the car so we think that until he was abandoned he had a good life. The paralyzed dog news
We have good and bad news.
Someone with a lot of experience in taking care of paralyzed dogs has offered to give Sandy a forever home in the Netherlands, whenever she is ready to go.
On the other side, she has refused food since yesterday and has blood in her urine. She is still at the clinic, where she is given treatment, vitamins, anti-inflammatory and anti-hemorrhagic drugs. Tomorrow she is scheduled for an ecography to find out why she has blood in her urine. Continue reading
Mopi is now Ori
For some time, Mopi arrived to her new family. Of course, she tested the highest places, and among her favorites is the door and the bar where the towels stay.
Her life means now playing with the owners (who are left with scratches from her part), moments of love when she licks them, playing with her toys or stealing sponges. A life very different life from the one which she looked for heat in a car engine, when we found her. Continue reading
Special case. Africa needs help
Africa, as our volunteer Alina named her, was found in the center of Bucharest begging for attention. She was very frightened and she was trembling. Of course no one was interested in her not even if she was trembling, her ribs were showing and she also has a problem with one of her legs. Alina couldn’t go any further. A single caress was enough for the dog to follow her, as if she understood that is the only way to get out of there. Africa is now to Spiru Haret clinic. The x-ray showed it’s an old fracture welded wrong and what is sadder is that here articulation is rigid. Continue reading
Mimi/Little is a lucky dog
Of course do you remember Little, the dog who escape from euthanasia. Here she is now acting like a normal dog. We do not get enough seeing her of it and we are sure that you will enjoy seeing her, so here you have the movie.
Because we said that Mimi can run, here she is in action. Thank you Natalia for each picture and video sent with Mimi. She’s a sweet dog and you’re an angel, not only a human.
News about Sandy, the paralyzed dog
The news are among the worst. The female dog has her spine broken, the spinal bone marrow sectioned and recently started to urinate with blood. Theoretically she could live like this if an experienced person could take her permanently. Unfortunately we already have a paralyzed dog for many years and it is impossible to maintain another one. Special case: Sandy the paralyzed dog
Today, on our roads, on The Bypass margin. We recently thought it is a big, dead, hit by the car dog, as many others. We approached to check, like we always do, and we saw she was alive. She stayed still, with the head near the decayed corps of another dog half bagged.

Robi’s Dogs need help
Today we had an annual action where we vaccinate all dogs, and make a rappel vaccine to the new comers. We succeeded to vaccinate 35 dogs, the ones that are the scariest, and that meant a lot of patience to catch them without stressing them too much.
We still have to vaccinate 80 dogs and we could use a helping hand.

Nick was stolen last night from the shelter
Our shelter is improvised on a field near Bucharest. We don’t have fences and we can’t build anything because the land is not our property. So the thieves come periodically to steel from us. They stole from brooms toethe enclosures where we keep our dogs, but what’s sadder is they also stole dogs about we will never know about and that’s hurts us the most.

On 25.12.2012, a dog called Bella, disappeared from the yard, in the area of Chitila Road, Bucharest. If you see her, try to catch her and call the number from the ad. Bella is old and is not used to stay on the streets.
