We keep repeating it: ADOPTION IS NOT A WHIM, BUT A RESPONSIBILITY. Folks, an animal isn’t a piece of furniture, an animal has initiative, gets bored, wants company, leaves hairs in the house and cannot pass the vacuum cleaner. 

Think TWICE before adopting an animal just because it’s sweet, fluffy, small, pure breed or any other such reason. Think TWICE if you can offer him or her a pleasant life for as long as he or she lives, that is 10-15-20 years. Be aware that you are RESPONSIBLE for the animal and, if you take him/her back when you get bored with him/her you shatter his/her universe to pieces, because he/she has attached himself/herself to you and he/she thought your house is his/her house for good.
