Wonderful news regarding Pufu

Pufu is one of Mr. M.’s 40 cats who had the chance to be adopted.

Please read below the news we received about him.

“As I promised, I write two words, even if late, about our wonderful Puf. I’ll start from the night we adopted him. We took him directly to the vet, where he got deworming, vaccination, the health card, ear cleaning, a bath, a brushing, mani-pedi. He cried and meowed all the way in the car… I felt so sorry for him… he was scared. At home he was met by Vik, our other kitten, younger than Puf. They sniffed and circled each other, then Pufi hid himself under the bath tub and there he stayed until next morning. It took a few days for him to adapt to his new life. Then, Pufik settled under the bed – it was his new hideout which he left only to eat or to use his litter box. During all this time Vik was watching his every move. A week or less went by and my babies began calling and chasing each other around the house, they even share their favorite place by the window. They aren’t very mischievous. In time, Puf got used to climbing on the bed and sleeping with me. Well, they aren’t exactly sleeping at night, they’d rather chase each other. Like no other cats, Pufik comes to me when he can’t sleep, and he licks my hair, caresses me gently on the face and on the eyelids with his paw to wake me up, sticks his nose very close to my face to see if I’m really asleep, and if I don’t give up and refuse to wake up, he vociferates. In time, the little one learned to do the same tricks…My favorite moments are when I give them their dry food and they both stretch their (parallel) tails and the background sound is “crunch crunch”. Pufi is always under the impression that in Vik’s bowl there is something tastier than in his own, so he eats a piece from Vik’s bowl, a piece from his own. It’s also fun to see them play. It all begins with a dare, they sit face to face, their tails are moving increasingly faster than one of them suddenly attacks and they start to chase each other until they get tired and they rest on the couch or Pufi jumps inside the wardrobe as high as he can (and if it’s too full he manages to find room enough for him 🙂 ). I love them very much. It’s always fun to watch Pufik run: as if he were a little well-behaved girl, lifting her skirt and running delicately on tiptoes like floating. He is washing himself all day long and when he is squeaky clean he licks the little one. They are taking turns, licking each other. Sometimes I find them sleeping in each other’s arms, sometimes they happen to kick over a plant pot, once they turned the TV on – they accidentally put their paws on the remote. When I give them wet food they go nuts, eating in a hurry and the fastest – obviously, Pufi- will also eat from the other one’s plate.

He’s a chubby fluffy darling, he always wants to be scratched, pampered, caressed, loved, kissed, he is more than willing to be brushed (he purrs every time). He is not a fan of mani-pedi, but I trick him into it: one paw today, one paw tomorrow… He’s always where I am: if I write something at my table he jumps on my back, while the little one sits on the other chair. When I clean the house they supervise everything I do. When I take a bath they guard me near the bathtub. When I get home they are waiting for me at the door… Pufi also likes to sleep on the table. He hides his head and front paws only in very small and narrow places (on the bookshelves for instance, behind the books which he eventually throws on the floor) when he plays hide and seek with Vik – he is very funny (he thinks himself much smaller than he really is). He has such a wonderful personality… he fills my heart with joy when he rubs his fur against my leg and says to me in his way a kind of “mu-eow-mmy”. If he happens to be cold, he slips under the blankets…

That’s about all I had to say to you and I thank Mr. M. for giving me the chance to enjoy such a wonderful thing. Have a nice day!”

This is exactly the kind of news we would like to receive after every adoption!

Thank you so much for writing to us and for adopting Pufu.
