Someone informed us that, behind a tall building, an injured cat was lying in a pit, with his face covered in blood. We answered to that call, and found him: a young, clean male cat, that was in shock, in pain and frightened to death.
When we got there, who knows how many hours after he fell, he was wet because of the rain, and he had fly-eggs all over his fur. He would have died there, after being eaten alive by worms if we wouldn’t have answered the call.
After he was examined, beside his wounds to his face and one of his paws, he also had a fractured femur, as you can see on the x-ray. He could also have broken front paw, but that can only be confirmed monday.
The cat is now at a clinic, he’ll undergo surgery monday in order to fix his fractured femur, and likely, the front paw.
