Kamal used to live with his brothers and mother on a field on the outskirts of Bucharest where there are many feral dogs. The dog catchers always prowl around the place and since puppies are easiest to catch, their fate is sealed. Of all his brothers, Kamal was the only one who escaped a potentially tragic fate.
